How to make a snow flower or snöblomma flower. The trendiest Christmas star decoration for housewarming. How to make snöblomma flower step by step. DIY snow flower with led light.
In recent years I have changed quite a lot and my love towards art, crafts, and slow living has grown every single day and I’m trying to implement it in every aspect of my life.
From making my own Christmas decorations to upgrading my clothes and making my own skincare products, it feels so rewarding seeing what my hands can create.
I have so many DIY ideas to share with you and I hope you enjoy the tutorials that I’ve shared here on my blog and on my YouTube channel CreativeGiantHands.
Further down I created a mini guide of how to make a snow flower or snöblomma flower(Swedish version) along with the link to purchase the templates and make your own Christmas star.
If you find it easier, you can watch the snow flower or snöblomma flower tutorial here.
What you need to make the a snow flower or snöblomma flower
To make this beautiful snow flower you need around 2 roles of parchment paper, strong glue( hot glue gun didn’t work for me because I’ve used parchment paper, if you use different paper it should be fine).
You will need hair clips, or paper clips, A4 sheets for making the hanging base from the back of the star, and led light if you want to add it on the back of the star.
To start making this snow flower you will need cardboard templates to draw the shape on the parchment paper just as shown in the image below.
Click here to purchase the templates on my Etsy shop for $ 5.56
You will need to cute 9 paper sheets for each template size so you can fold them like an accordion shape afterward.
The process to make this star is slow and you have to allow a few hours to complete the project
I wanted to see how this paper snow flower would look like if I made it in red color and obviously is amazing. Red being the festive Christmas color, it looks fabulous placed on the white curtain.
There is still time until Christmas and I’m planning to make a few more of these, but in smaller size and decorate the stairs. Combined with fresh pine branches, or eucalyptus it will make an original Scandinavian Christmas decor.
